I know the last thing you want to do when you peruse a director’s website is spend time reading a lot of copy, right? Sorry. But trust me, I’m not like any director you’ve ever worked with… I’ve concepted, creative directed, written and directed for some of the biggest brands in the world. Ad agencies, entertainment companies and motion design firms have called me to develop creative ideas, and then had me pitch those ideas to their clients because they were so confident in my ability to tell a compelling brand story—a brand story that not only sold an idea and delivered on a promise, but begged for a response.
Think of me as a director with a keen sense of story, a brilliant eye for casting, and the innate ability to inspire captivating performances. Think of me as a creative director/writer with an ingenious ability to set a compelling hook. Think of me as a brand director with an enhanced acumen in marketing and strategy. Then think of me when you want to experience brand storytelling that is completely novel, wildly compelling, insanely engaging, and ingeniously effective at connecting brands and their audiences in personal, powerful and poignant ways.
Now, how many directors do you know who can do that?
I’m confident that if you’ll take a few minutes to review the following paragraphs, check out the attached CAESARS Entertainment PDF on the following page, as well as the short animated films for CAESARS Entertainment, that you’ll get a taste for what effective brand storytelling is really all about. This is just the tip of the iceberg, wait 'til you see what i pitched to Victoria Secret, and what I'm preparing to present to Starbucks, Macy's, Marriott and The PGA Tour.
"Brand Cinema" — the ultimate form of brand storytelling.
I see “Brand Cinema” as an extraordinary opportunity for brands to make indelible impressions on their target audiences. With each branded story I create, my goal is always the same—to create a brand-saturated, story driven, interactive experience that will live up to the maxim, “that long after an audience has forgotten what they’ve seen and heard , they’ll remember how they felt.” That feeling, that emotional gestalt, is the magic that turns a passive unsuspecting audience into passionate, loyal, inspired customers.
The PDF on the CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT page details the campaign ideas behind my most recent Brand Cinema success story for CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT. This is just a quick overview of how Brand Cinema / Brand storytelling works from my perspective. In fact, this PDF is the very overview that I created for the CAESARS Executive Board, so that they could see how an ingeniously cool campaign grew out of a simple targeted, well-told story.
The tenants of emotional branding are at the heart of my "Brand Cinema" approach. This type of storytelling is an immersive, dramatic, compelling experience where a targeted audience makes a powerful emotional connection with the core tenants of a brand. This connection is reinforced through subsequent interactions that continue to further the brand storyline by giving it added relevance and meaning.
The story can be live, cinematic, printed or theatrical, but it’s always interactive. Most importantly, it’s never just a story for story sake, but instead it’s brand storytelling with a definite purpose.
