For the past 21 years Matt Hodgson has been concepting, creative directing, writing and directing for some of the biggest brands in the world, i.e., Coca-Cola (U.S.), Sprite (Asian Markets), Adobe, Head Skis & Snowboards, Patagonia, General Motors, Orchard Supply Hardware, Overstock.com, Caesars Entertainment, Lagoon Amusement Park, Bonneville International Media Group, Huntsman Cancer Institute, Tahitian Noni International, Xango, Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, BYU-TV, Deseret Book, GES, George Fern Expositions & Events, Modern Expositions & Events, Premier Hospital Group, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals & their sponsors—Delta Air Lines, Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club, Rite Aid, Dairy Queen, Marriott Hotels and Carmike Theaters, as well as numerous successful political campaigns including Jan Graham for Attorney General and Rob Bishop for United States Congress. Prior to turning to directing full-time, Hodgson held positions as creative director, executive creative director and partner at some of the western region’s most successful advertising agencies.
Hodgson helped to develop and subsequently directed 68 episodes of the Emmy Award winning history series known as “American Ride”—starring Stan Ellsworth. American Ride has won multiple Emmy Awards and is currently a mainstay in over 60 million homes nationwide.
Matt Hodgson has written and/or collaborated on commercial projects with a veritable who’s who of musical talent—ranging from Kenny Loggins, Take 6, Rockapella, Deke Sharon and the House Jacks... to Shana Halligan of Bitter:Sweet, the Drums, singer/songwriter Sonnet Simmons, singer/songwriter Jenny Frogley and singer/songwriter Jennifer Paige.
Hodgson has also written a number of screenplays that are now in development, and he is currently working on his first children’s book.
